2019 DANIEL, THE LIONS, AND THE END TIMES TOUR:
A DELUXE SAFARI TOUR OF SOUTHERN AFRICA WITH LON SOLOMON LEADING AND TEACHING THROUGH THE BOOK OF DANIEL!!
All my life, I have wanted to go to South Africa and take a safari. And to see Victoria Falls in Zambia and Zimbabwe, the largest waterfalls in the world, first discovered by the great missionary David Livingstone in 1855. So we went in 2017 and had the most wonderful tour imaginable! In fact, it was so great that I have been longing to go back and do it again. But I don't want to go by myself! I want to take some friends along to enjoy it with me. And since the Book of Daniel also has a very prominent chapter dealing with lions, I thought it would be cool to combine this trip to South Africa with a Bible study on the Book of Daniel that I will lead while the tour is in progress. And so--our very special spring tour for 2019: Daniel, The Lions, and The End Times.
We will also fly to Zambia and stay at the spectacular Royal Livingstone Hotel, (1) where we'll visit the massive Victoria Falls, one of the most overwhelming natural wonders of the world; (2) where zebras and giraffes wander freely on the hotel grounds (no kidding!); (3) where we will do another full day of safari at the elephant-overflowing Chobe National Park in Botswana; and (4), where you'll enjoy one of the nicest hotels that I have ever stayed in.
Finally, I have become more gripped in recent days about the need for us as Christians to have a global outlook and to serve the poor and needy peoples of the world, especially children. In this regard, I am reminded that Daniel and his three friends were all orphans, taken into captivity by the Babylonian king Nebuchadnezzar in 606BC and brought to Babylon without their parents or any relatives that the Bible mentions. As orphans, they were all alone, but the Lord cared for them in a special way, as He loves to do for orphans, for whom He has a special love and concern. So we are planning to set aside a whole day on the tour to serve at a local orphanage near Cape Town--make sure to bring some work clothes!!
And thus--well before Easter--March 28-April 7, 2019 (through April 7 with the optional Victoria Falls extension)--this is the tour that we have planned in conjunction with HLP Tours: Daniel, The Lions, and The End Times. I am very excited about this tour and I hope you will be too! As always, we will be working with Ezer Kalmovitcz and HLP Tours in Israel. Anyone who has ever been on a tour with me knows the reputation of HLP Tours for providing the most personalized service, the most wonderful accommodations and food, at the most reasonable prices--and this tour will be no exception! Highlights of the trip include (1) our Bible study in the Book of Daniel throughout the tour; (2) a wonderful day of missionary service to the Lord in helping an orphanage just outside Cape Town; (3) sightseeing in Cape Town for three days, one of the most beautiful cities in the world; (4) our three-day safari in Pilansburg National Park; and (5) and our optional extension trip to the spectacular Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe at the height of its beauty in April, where we will do another one-day safari in Botswana this time.
Because of the nature of this tour, we will have a strict limit on the number of passengers we can take with is. As you may know, our first tour in 2017 filled up in 3 1/2 weeks!
